Hi! I’m Ana Jenkinson, the owner and creative mind behind Ana Jenkinson Photography. So glad you’re here!
I became drawn to photography while studying abroad in college: while exploring Europe, I fell in love with my surroundings and channeled that love into capturing every inch and corner of it with my camera. In the process, I fell in love with photography as well. So much so, that upon returning home, I took a detour and dove right into the world of photography.
I arrived at Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, California in 2008, the most reputable photography and video school in the country at the time. I was committed to my craft and as a result, was awarded the “Student Recognition Award” and the “Presidential Award” for outstanding work and work ethic.
Upon graduation, I joined the team at the advertising agency Team One in Los Angeles and contributed to well-known accounts such as Lexus, Haagen-Dazs, and others. From there, I took my talents to their sister company Saatchi & Saatchi and contributed to their biggest LA account, Toyota, by assisting with their ad campaigns. My time in LA had me feeling like a superstar and like all my dreams had come true.
After a few years in LA, my prince charming came along! We got married and life brought us to San Antonio in 2012, where we are now raising our 3 kids. My passion for photography has endured and I’ve had the opportunity to photograph a myriad of subjects professionally in San Antonio: food, architecture, art, numerous weddings, portraits…you name it! During my time in San Antonio, I’ve had a recurring role photographing food at new area restaurants for the San Antonio Current and have also been published in Vogue Mexico in an article titled, “Things to do in San Antonio.” Additionally, my work has been published in various magazines including San Antonio Magazine, Flavor, and San Antonio Weddings.
All that to say, you are in good hands! I pride myself on my work ethic and going above and beyond for my clients.
